Described as a cultural warrior, and dubbed Queen of The Asian Underground in her previous avatar-as co-founder & host (with Mercury Prize winner Talvin Singh) of the legendary Anokha nights at the infamous Blue Note club in Hoxton square—our girls name checked in several books including music journalist legend (Saturday Night Fever acclaim) Nik Cohen’s ‘Yes We Have No’: Adventures in other England’  – her outfit is housed at The London Museum as part of their major exhibition with British Vogue: ‘The London Look: Fashion from Street to Catwalk’ under ground-breaking alternative music scenes.

Her series: Brown Girl in the Ring showcases female talent across music, film & culture, and her RingSide events brings together spoken word, literature, music and dancers in collaborations from an East London boxing ring!
