Matt Roberts is London-based session trumpeter that has worked with the likes of Paloma Faith, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Four Tops, Tony Allen, Ali Campbell (UB40), Horace Andy, Shabaka Hutchins, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), Loyle Carner, Joe Bataan, Everything Everything to name just a few!

He is also a member of Gentleman’s Dub Club with whom he tours extensively. When he’s not touring, Matt likes to burn the midnight oil in the various dark corners of Soho’s jazz scene, particularly Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, where he presents his own projects regularly.

In ‘Out To Lunch’, Matt invites his friends from the London and New York jazz scenes to discuss their favourite records, with a specific focus on the funky/soulful sounds of the Hard Bop era.
