Ann Scanlon grew up in an Irish pub with a classic country jukebox, and became a music journalist. She was a writer and features editor on the late, great Sounds, and is the author of The Pogues: The Lost Decade and Those Tourists Are Money: The Rock'n'Roll Guide to Camden. In her first radio show - live every other Thursday between 8pm and 10pm - she will be paying tribute to the musicians, writers, people and places that she thinks the world of. In the opening episode, Ann begins here at home with A Love Letter to... The Boogaloo, featuring a rare interview with our charismatic landlord Gerry O'Boyle and music by some of the songwriters who took a seat at the bar and helped to turn The Boogaloo into the best jukejoint in the world.
